March, 2009

Dear Parents,

March is really a fun month and we have lots of exciting things to do. The emphasis is on the "windy month" and projects involving air. We will have "Bubble Day", "Wind Skipper Races","Balloon Day" and "Pinwheel Project."

Trips have been planned and a list was sent home on the updated calendar. Sign up lists are also in the foyer.

Wednesday, March 11th is our trip to the Ritz Theater. Everyone must be here no later than 9 a.m. We will go by the Hall's Bus Service. Mr. Hall likes to leave on time! NO food on his bus, he wants to keep it clean and safe for the children.

Monday, March 16th, Library Trip. We are traveling by carpool. Leave school at 12 noon.

Wednesday, March 18th, Rancocas Nature Center. Carpool.

Wednesday, March 25th, Trooper Tom and Vader. Parents invited.

Please fill in the forms for our trips and return them to school on Monday 9th. Thank you.

The children had a good time creating the Rainforest. On Monday, 9th, we will have our Rainforest Party at lunch time. If you would like to bring in "rainforest food," such as dried fruit or a coconut (to look at) please sign up. We are going to dress up as explorers for the occasion.

Spring arrives on the 20th. Your project is to take a walk with your child and record the sights and sounds of Spring in a journal, with pictures. Due on the 20th.

We are going to have a CPR First Aid course at school (evening or a Saturday morning). If you are interested, please let us know ASAP. The cost is $35.00
