March, 2010

Dear Parents,

Weather conditions this Winter have made quite an impact on what we have been able to do - time has been lost and routines disrupted - but we'll rise above it and go forward.

The Unit of Work has spilled over into March, but that's ok.

We are putting together the trip to the theater and Wetlands program. Trooper Tom will be here March 9th at 10 a.m. You are invited to attend. This will be his thrid year with us.

March is a fun month. We will be doing projects involving Wind: Wind Skippers; Pin Wheels; Balloon Day and Bubble Day. We will be having a real Weatherman talk to us also about weather.

We have noticed a big difference in the work and are seeing a lot of thoughtful expression of ideas and progress from the children.

The children will be making a journal about Sounds and Sights of Spring. We would like you to take a walk with your child and help them record their findings. You may be as creative as you like. Project is due March 22nd.

Our 100th Day is March 10th. We would like the children to bring in a 100 of something.

Happy Spring,

Love
Teacher Nora
and
Teacher Suzanne
