Greetings:

Many times, we have heard that people never knew the little schoolhouse was there. We are here, and we are celebrating 60 successful years as an excellent school.

Rancocas Friends School is under the care and governance of the Rancocas Monthly Meeting and the auspices of the Friends Council on Education of Philadelphia Yearly Meeting.

Our mission is to provide a positive learning atmosphere in which each child may succeed through support and nurturing. Academically, socially, physically and spiritually we strive for excellence. It is our vision for each and every child. We accomplish this by guiding the children with love, honesty, equality and patience. We embrace the whole child, because we believe that there is that of God in everyone.

Our program is a multi-sensory program through the whole-language approach. The curriculum is exciting and challenging. It involves the development of all readiness skills, Language Arts, Math, Science, Art and Music. We believe that children learn best with hands on projects. Their ideas are a part of the program and through their input we have researched and worked on many fascinating projects.

Our extra curriculum for enrichment encompasses a variety of activities and trips, as well as sharing our visiting programs with other independent schools. Our children develop friendships, learn about wildlife and nature and develop an awareness of outside of the classroom learning.

We participate in a community service and make awareness to many social issues throughout the school year. Our school, several years ago, initiated a Peace Program and from that began a journey of Peace One hug at a time.

The peace ball was hugged by each child and parent in our school and then sent to England, and then on to Australia. It returned back to us, and together with St. Mary's Hall Doane Academy, we continued the Peace ball's mission of Peace to Israel.

We realize it can be difficult for a Parent to make a decision for their child's first school experience. We try to make that decision a stress free experience. Please feel comfortable in calling us with any questions or concerns, and know that you and your child are welcome to visit us.
